Construction Strong in 2016-17

The 2016-17 financial year was a busy one for projects in Albury with the total value of construction reaching close to $200M. These encouraging figures represent an annual average increase in total construction spend of 7.3% over the last five years.
Residential projects outweighed commercial construction with a combined 371 complying development and construction certificates issued throughout the year, at a value of approximately $135M.
Civil works for subdivisions and infrastructure were strongest in the December quarter with a total of 39 certificates issued throughout 2016-17.
