Wodonga to welcome Innovation Hub
Tuesday 27 August 2019
Wodonga Council has recently awarded a $300,000 tender for a feasibility study into establishing a Business Innovation Hub in Wodonga. The winning tender was from Canberra-based consultancy company Delos Delta.
The study, which is funded by the Victorian Government will trial programs ‘in action’ which will be done by developing, establishing, testing and adapting a model that will be sustainable into the future.
Central to the project will be the development of an ‘ecosystem’ where talented people gather to share learning, drive ideas, solve problems and build the 21st century economy, in Albury Wodonga.
In order to enhance the growth and liveability of our region it is critical to foster and support innovative thinking. The Innovation Hub will provide a physical and virtual space to encourage idea creation and foster social communities. It will create an eco-system for entrepreneurs wishing to collaborate on subject matter, expertise on technology trends and encourage diverse businesses to find a place within the community as opposed to operating in isolation.
Inception meetings are taking place with any feedback from the business community welcome. Feedback can be directed to the Wodonga Council’s Economic Development Team on 02 6022 9200.
