Endless opportunities for manufacturing, transport and logistics sectors

Logic offers several significant advantages for industry seeking to create efficiencies in freight distribution, manufacturing and warehousing operations.

Logic Industrial Estate in Wodonga, provides the incentive to establish a manufacturing base, from which Australia and the world can be distributed to. Competitively priced land is available for industry, covering an area of 567 hectares, with $180 million in investment to date with a focus on manufacturing, transport and logistics.

Strategically located on the Hume Freeway and along the Inland Rail Corridor, Albury Wodonga continues to be an ideal location to establish manufacturing operations.

One example of investment in recent years is, XLAM, who develop prebuild construction technologies produced from timber, a renewable and sustainable material. CLT is mainly manufactured as large-format structural building elements, including walls, floors and roofs, created by bonding together time boards in orthogonal layers. The facility is located in the Logic Industrial Estate, allowing XLAM to deliver product to 80% of Australia within 24 hours.

XLAM was one of the first cross laminated timber manufacturing plants in Australia, opening in 2018. The job development was supported by the Australian government, securing a AU$2.5 million grant from the Commonwealth Government Next Generation Australian Industry Grants, and a AU$450,000 grant from the Victorian Regional Development authority. 54 local jobs have been created through the facility, including 30 direct and 24 indirect.

While the Australian manufacturing industry continues to expand during the COVID-19 crisis, Albury Wodonga remains competitive in the national and global manufacturing landscape.
